Award from the President of the Greek Republic (2007)

2007- The President of the Republic congratulates the then President Mr Harry Anastasiou and the Vice President of BENJAMIN Mr Emilios Xanthopoulos

The President of the Greek Republic Mr. Karolos Papoulias hosted a reception in honor of the representatives of the institutions from all over Greece who voluntarily offer their services to children in need of help, protection and care. The reception took place on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the Presidential Palace with all formality. The BENJAMIN represented by the BENJAMIN’s president Mr. Harry Anastasiou and the then BENJAMIN’s Mr. Emilios Xanthopoulos, cardiologist.

The President of the Greek Republic honored and had the opportunity to get to know those institutions that voluntarily offer their services to children and expressed the desire to assist with all his forces in the effort to achieve this goal.

Mr Harry Anastasiou stated: “It was an unforgettable night. We had the opportunity to talk to the President of the Greek Republic We received with great joy,

and gratitude the honorary invitation and we are grateful that in this way the work we offer for many years is recognized. We told him: “It was extremely honorable for us to invite us to the Presidential Palace.” We also told him that we were orphans in the 1950s supporting voluntary 21st century orphans.
