Food bank autonomy – finding resources

The sourcing department is typically staffed by two people who bear the brunt of processing responsibility and the bulk of the coordination of its work. In fact, it is every worker and often volunteer who, from his own “geographical position” and through whatever role he has assumed, tries daily and in various ways to secure sponsorships in goods, services and monetary donations, in order to cover the enormous and extremely wide volume needs faced by the children cared for by the Association.
The BENJAMIN Child Support Society relies exclusively on financial donations from individuals and businesses as well as donations in kind (food). There is no government subsidy.
Αν If to the difficult conditions of the economic crisis, we also add the unbearable economic effects of the pandemic (quarantine, cancellation of charity events, closing of shops with BENJAMIN Coin boxes decrease in donations), then it is realized that it is necessary to find new resources for the best possible continuation of the work of supporting children in need.
Depending on whether you represent a business or whether you are an individual there are various ways to support the food bank and its long-term autonomy and sustainability in the ways listed next.

If you are a business: With product/material support
A very important way of supporting BENJAMIN are the product partnerships that are occasionally entered into with companies. In these cases, companies choose to associate a specific product (or product line) with its logo BENJAMIN, in order to stimulate their corporate social responsibility and at the same time contribute to the work of the Association.
If you are a business: Funding Actions and events with a direct donation
The financial support of BENJAMIN through the financing of specific needs, actions, projects, actions, is very important for survival.
Collaborations at this level vary depending on the amount of money that a company is able to allocate. They may concern the purchase of some type/equipment that a place needs, the financing of some construction project, the coverage of operating expenses or part of them for some action and many others.

The financial support of our actions through the coin boxes that are hosted in stores and companies, is one of the few mechanisms we have for the immediate and stable assurance of income for our financial sustainability, giving to the public the ability to offer any amount of money he wishes, directly, easily and with her reliability that the modern consumer seeks and does not negotiate. At the same time, the company is given the opportunity to project its social face in this simple and inexpensive way.
If you are a business: By hosting a charity bazaar
Our Christmas, Easter, summer and school bazaars have now become an institution and are something that citizens always look forward to as they have the opportunity to combine their shopping with practical support for children of BENJAMIN .

If you are a business: By donating non-perishable food
Long-term food donations from businesses to BENJAMIN are of the utmost importance to our club.
If you are an association, individual
In this case you can support BENJAMIN in one of the ways listed in the “Ways of Support” section».

In this case, our organization can be involved in the promotion of each event through social media and in the sending of information material. It does not have the ability to co-organize or organize an event.
